Sport is largely staffed by people who love playing, watching and talking about sport. Our passion for the game drives so much of the business. When it comes to growth, it’s also an achilles heel for the sector. If our own bias is fanatical and sport is consuming, what of the majority who see sport as something to do for fun, if they even do it at all?
With ten years in participation content and events, fan culture, and prior to that education, we are expertly placed to refresh perspectives to reach new audiences. We look at the white spaces around core audiences and dive into the motivations and barriers before working back to create content and initiatives to bring those people in.
People will buy an achievement, but subscribe to a feeling.
Keep a handle on the human connection which sustains community growth and feeds habits that become a culture. Building community takes time and consistency, and can get lost in the business.
Working across football from grassroots to European Finals, rugby, netball, boxing and more, we bring expertise in exploring and creating around emotional drivers that feed fandom and participation.
Successes include delivering the biggest amateur boxing audience in the UK since London 2012 with World Boxing, bringing tens of thousands of new participants to football spanning youth to veterans, walking and disability football with The FA, and driving mass audience response campaigns in community sport awards with BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards.
From initiative design and delivery to content creation and commissioning, we bring a deep well of experience and expertise that has set precendents, received commendation, and most crucially spoken to the people who haven’t yet found their home in sport. And that is what drives us, not that we want new audiences to fit into what is on offer, but how can we create the space that helps people find their own passion, how can we use sport to highlight the very best in people, and how can we tell that story with excitement and authenticity.
The Premier League, Football Association, Team GB, England Netball, and other governing bodies and clubs have trusted us to do that, and connect their games with new people who can become fans and advocates, creating a virtuous cycle for growth.
